When we don’t receive the love & nurturance & witnessing that every child deserves, we take it upon ourselves to accept that we are deficient and unqualified for love. From an attachment and survival standpoint, it wouldn’t be safe to accept that it was related to our parent/caregivers’ limitations, as at the time, we needed them to survive (food, shelter, etc.) Through a healing and restorative relationship, it is possible to re visit those young, aching parts, and witness them & attune to them
