Our rescue team undertook their sixth orangutan rescue of the year in late September with BKSDA! 🦧 Eni, an 11-year-old female, was sighted in the Mendawai community’s oil palm plantation eating palm tree shoots and was promptly reported to local authorities. The rescue went smoothly, and she was moved to the Wildlife Clinic for her medical checkup. Our vets look for wounds on the body, check their heart rate, teeth and take blood samples.
